WestJet Unveils New Elevation Lounge in YYC

Airline unveils new flagship lounge at YYC Calgary International Airport

CALGARY, AB – November 9, 2020

With panoramic views of the beautiful Alberta prairie, combined with Canadian-inspired designs, guests and travellers can truly relax in the WestJet Elevation Lounge. In collaboration with internationally recognized and award-winning design firm, Gensler, the Elevation Lounge was carefully planned and crafted to best accommodate the needs of guests and frequent travellers.

In coordination with the Calgary Airport Authority, the WestJet Elevation Lounge will open to travellers on November 7, 2020, and is located in the middle of Calgary International Airport at Concourse B in the domestic terminal. The lounge will be accessible to all guests departing from domestic Concourses A, B and C as well as international Concourse D.

When visiting the Elevation Lounge guests and travellers can look forward to many first-class experiences with dedicated spaces for travellers to relax and unwind before their flight or during a connection. Focus spaces are settled throughout the lounge where guests can take advantage of free wi-fi for business and leisure. The Elevation Lounge also has private and reservable shower facilities for guests to use. With artwork created by Calgary artist Mandy Stobo, travellers will feel comfortable and relaxed in the warm and welcoming environment of the Elevation Lounge. Guests can also look forward to a wide selection of award-winning dishes and beverages made with locally-Canadian sourced products, including a premium selection of beer and wine from right here in Calgary.

Following with federal and provincial health guidelines, WestJet’s enhanced safety protocols will be in place at the Elevation Lounge to ensure the safety of all our guests. The Elevation Lounge will have contactless, self-serve entry, enhanced cleaning measures, increased spacing between tables and seating, and guests and staff will be required to wear face masks at all times throughout the duration of their stay in the lounge, except for when eating and drinking.
